Sioux Falls Regional Livestock Report - Worthing SD

Compared to last week: Feeder steers and heifers mostly steady, except steers 950-1000 lbs instance to 6.00 higher, and heifers 900-950 lbs 8.00 to 10.00 higher. A large offering for this time of the year, many long strings offered in full loads and multiple load lots. Flesh condition ranged from light and attractive to heavy, over fleshed. Buyers were cautious about bidding on cattle carrying a heavy amount of flesh.

Oklahoma National Stockyards Feeder Cattle - Oklahoma City OK

Compared to last week: Feeder steers steady to 4.00 higher. Feeder heifers, not as active and steady to 2.00 lower. Demand moderate to good as cattle futures are traded sharply lower. Steer calves under 500 lbs 5.00-10.00 higher; over 500 lbs 5.00-10.00 lower. Heifer calves under 500 lbs 10.00-20.00 higher; over 500 lbs steady. Quality average to attractive with several heavy weight feeders off fall and winter pasture.

Compared to last week: Steers were steady to 2.00 higher under 650 lbs. and steers over 650 lbs. were 17.00 higher. Heifers were 5.00 higher. Both with a good quality and average demand. Slaughter cows were steady with a good quality and demand. Slaughter bulls were 5.00 higher with a great quality and high demand.

   

Roswell Livestock Auction - Roswell, NM

Compared to last week; Steer and heifer calves had no comparable sales but a higher trend was felt throughout. Feeder steers and heifers were steady to higher. Smaller numbers thanks to rain in the area on a moderately higher market with good demand, Slaughter cows sold 3.00-6.00 higher and slaughter bulls were steady. Excellent buyer attendance

Compared to last week, steer calves weighing 450-500 lbs sold mostly 5.00-10.00 higher, with 500-600 lbs trading steady to firm, 6 weight steers sold mostly steady to 5.00 higher and the pot loads of yearling steers sold with a higher undertone on very limited comparisons with last week. Heifer calves weighing 400-500 lbs and 550-600 lbs sold 5.00-15.00 higher with 500-550 lbs selling with a sharply higher undertone with over all quality and condition much better this week, over 600 lbs were lightly tested.
