Downsizing the herd and selling 22 head of bred cows...
- Bred to start calving in late April for approximately three months, guaranteed bred by a veterinarian. Bred to easy-calving Pharo Cattle Company influenced Hereford and Angus bulls.
- 8 head of 6-7 year olds, 14 head of 5 year olds.
- These cattle are mostly PCC influenced genetics, moderate frame, bred to be low maintenance and low input. Most are black Angus with a couple of black hided Angus-cross composites.
- They run on native grass and occasional stocks year around, with little to no supplementation.
- They are docile and easy to work with and have calved unassisted every year.
- They are hot-wire and poly-wire broke, and are trained to come to a sack of range cubes (which I only feed occasionally for the purpose of catching them easily).
